This project transforms a dilapidated 1960’s building into a vibrant, state-of-the-art facility, creating three dynamic teaching spaces to foster innovation, collaboration and creativity. The design retains the key architectural elements of the original building, including the high vaulted gable ceilings, clerestory windows and external brickwork, whilst adding a contemporary internal fit-out, updated technology, and a purpose-built outdoor construction and welding bay, designed to support engineering and design-based education.

Additionally, the revitalised central common creates a new heart to the senior school campus. A large bitumened courtyard has been replaced with extensive tree planting, covered structures and flexible seating areas, to provide a more functional and inviting environment for students.
