This new three-story learning centre is located at the front of Marsden State High School, on a prominent corner bounded by Chambers Flat Road and Muchow Road. The building is positioned to the west of B Block and north of J Block. It includes 19 general learning areas (GLAs), three science labs, five robotics studios, three design studios, two media studios, as well as student and staff amenities, and staff work rooms.

The building is organised in two perpendicular wings surrounding a central core and foregathering space, which formalises the existing space between B Block and J Block. GLAs are located at each level in the northern wing, while the western wing contains specialist learning areas. The flexible learning spaces are arranged around central corridors, with operable walls to allow for adaptable teaching environments. The façade of the building is articulated by lapped sunscreens that reflect the school’s Mako shark mascot and the building’s focus on STEM learning. The design prioritizes sustainability, providing natural lighting and cross-ventilation, while the materials and finishes are selected for their durability and regard for the existing school buildings.
